She/Her/Hers

“My education doesn’t mean anything if I’m not using it to help my people.”

I am a Lummi Tribal member and have been a high school English teacher for six years. Teaching is my passion. Before I became a teacher I worked with my tribe in the Behavioral Health Department. I decided to go back to school to become a teacher because we were focused on implementing wraparound care within the school system and I loved interacting with the kids.

When I’m not at work I love reading, being outside and baking. I also love traveling with my husband and playing with my cat and tortoise.
